About the project
After creating publicity materials for the opera's first successful run, the show was recommissioned by Warwick Arts Centre. This gave the opportunity to create some playful marketing which reflected the show's tongue in cheek nature. Pointing to the popular 'The Dark Knight Rises' promo material, I created 'The Stiletto Will Rise'.
For the show's first run, the client wanted to demonstrate a garishness that pointed to the vibrancy of Essex, the opera's setting, whilst bowing to the regality and precision of Rossini's libretto. The programme designed in the slideshow above reflected this.
